Save the Planet: World Wide Global Climate Strike

Students and faculty members wore green to support the global climate strike Friday. Students and professors carried handmade signs and asked passerby's to sign various petitions, such as stopping the use of coal on campus. Along with students and faculty members, Burton Snowboards was present with their employees. The store closed on the day of the global climate strike and all Burton Snowboard employees were given the day off with pay if they attended one of the global climate strikes. The event took place throughout the mid morning into the early afternoon not only on Slippery Rock's campus but around the United States as well.
